Self Adhesive Wax Seals

Our self adhesive wax seals are individually pressed into real sealing wax by the team at WaxSeals.com and finished with an adhesive backing for easy use. As each one is individually crafted and finished by hand, we can create your wax seals as uniform or organic in style as you like!

Craft, Professional Grade, and Resealable Wax Seals each refer to a different style of adhesive backing:

  1. Craft Wax Seals: Finished with our lightest adhesive, these wax seals are designed for light use on uncoated, untextured paper or cardstock only. Craft Wax Seals may tear the paper underneath when removed.
  2. Professional Grade Wax Seals: Our strongest adhesive backing, our Professional Grade Wax Seals have been designed for use with a wide range of surfaces including: coated, textured paper and cardstock; handmade paper; coated surfaces; vellum; ribbon; glass; and packaging applications. We also recommend this type of adhesive for any mailing application (see #5 for more information).
  3. Resealable Wax Seals: Designed for delicate surfaces, our Resealable Wax Seals are finished with an adhesive that works like a Post-It Note. These seals will remove cleanly and re-seal 3-5 times.

The main difference between our 4 wax collections is the style of wax used to create each one!

Original Collection: Made from our "House Wax" formula, colors from our Original Collection are created with a mixture of real wax and resin for the highest level of flexibility possible - which is perfect for packaging. Complete with some of our most popular classic colors from the last 25 years, this sealing wax has a vibrant color and glossy finish.

Vintage, Modern, and Designer Collections: Made with our "Traditional Wax" formula, these color collections are made with our highest quality of real sealing wax and are designed to hold fine detail and provide a rich, luxurious color. These three collections are perfect for your wedding invitations and stationery, as they are suited for intricate artwork.

We always recommend our Professional Grade Wax Seals for mailing, and requesting that your letters be hand-sorted to prevent any tearing due to modern mail sorting machines.

Alternatively, using an outer envelope is also a great way to protect your seals - especially if you choose either our Craft or Resealable Wax Seals.

Absolutely! We offer our self adhesive wax seals in a wide variety of our semi-customizable monograms as part of our Featured Collections and Designer Artwork Category. To shop, simply select "Self Adhesive Wax Seals" in the top menu, then shop from any of the non-custom options!

Real Wax!

One of the most common questions we receive - is whether our self adhesive wax seals are made of plastic or not! But fear not - all of our self adhesive wax seals are made with our signature sealing wax (made in-house) that is exactly what you would receive if you ordered our glue-gun sealing wax for use with your wax seal stamp!

Wax Seal Stamps and Sealing Wax

Our Wax Seal Stamps come with a solid brass die that is engraved with your choice of custom or designer image and paired with a modern handle.

Wax Seal Stamps are used for wedding invitations, stationery, snail mail, gift wrapping, using for packaging or decorations, and even for stamping food and confections such as chocolate, fondant and even cheese!

Standard Die

A removable brass die designed for individual stamping and simple artwork.

Designer Die

A removable brass die designed for holding temperature and fine artwork.

Yes they are!

Both our standard and designer brass dies can be removed and interchanged with any of our "Classic" handles.

Our Deluxe Wax Seal Stamps are made with the highest quality of solid brass available and arrive paired with a 100% locally sourced, hand-carved hardwood handle.

Designed for the most intricate engraving detail and larger volumes of wax seals, our Deluxe Wax Seal Stamps make a beautiful keepsake.

Added to the purchase of any order of custom self adhesive wax seals, our Keepsake Stamper is created with the die we use to create your self adhesive wax seals and finished with one of our Deluxe Wood Handles.

The perfect keepsake - our keepsake stampers can be found as an in-cart add-on to your self adhesive wax seal order.

Designed for use in a standard (0.44" diameter) sealing wax gun or glue gun, all of our sealing wax comes in this format for easy use.

Simply add to your sealing wax or low-temp glue gun, allow to heat up (as you would with your glue stick) then pour and stamp on your surface.

Sealing Wax Spoons

A sealing wax spoon is designed to melt sealing wax over an open flame.

  1. Using the provided linen sleeve, simply add one or two sealing wax beads to your spoon and hold over a jar candle.
  2. Wait for the sealing wax to melt.
  3. Carefully pour your wax onto your stationery and stamp with your chilled wax seal.
  4. Wait 10-15 seconds, then gently remove your wax seal from the wax.

As our Sealing Wax Spoons are made of pure brass they will naturally tarnish over time with use. To clean, simply wipe the warm wax out with a soft cloth between uses.

If you wish to wash your spoon, use warm water and gentle soap. Make sure to dry well immediately after any contact with water.

You've decided to create a custom wax seal - wonderful!

Here's how it works:

  1. Submit your order for either a custom wax seal or custom self adhesive wax seals.
  2. Once your order is received, we will create an electronic proof and send it to you for approval via email within 1 business day.
  3. Select your favorite option from your electronic proof and send your approved proof to us by email.
  4. Once approval is received, production will begin.
  5. Standard orders will ship within 1-3 business days.

Our Engraving Team is here to help turn your custom artwork into the perfect wax seal.

Here is what we'll need:

  1. A high resolution (300dpi), black and white vector image.
  2. In a high quality .PDF, .eps, .ai, .jpeg, or .gif format.
  3. An image with no shading or 3D effects.
  4. A die line if you have a specific placement or proportion required for your wax seal.

Please note: Black areas will be raised when pressed into wax.

Our team is busy at work putting together an electronic proof with your custom artwork. One of our Design Consultants will send you your electronic proof via email (using the email address you used to place your order) within 1 business day of receiving your order.

Our current production time for standard orders is 1-3 business days, plus your choice of shipping option.

As we do our best to ship out all orders within 1-3 business days, the best way to expedite your order is to select on of our exepedited shipping options!

We are pleased to provide you with the best shipping options available, and can often ship to you within 1 business day (within North America).

If you are looking to place a re-order, please place a new order using our online shopping cart and simply quote your original order number in the notes field!

Once your order has been placed into our production queue, we are unable to accept any further changes as all products are made-to-order.

If you need to upgrade your shipping option, we require all upgrade requests to be submitted to us via email to info@artisaire.com no later than 9am PST the day after your order has been placed. Your order will ship via the originally selected method if we do not receive your shipping upgrade request before 9am PST the day after your order was placed.

Shipping Questions

We ship our products around the world every day, and are pleased to offer shipping to any countries serviced by UPS.

Our shipping rates are based off live rates and are calculated by:

  1. Your shipping destination.
  2. The contents (and weight) of your order.
  3. Your selected shipping speed.

We sure do!

Once you've arrived at checkout, simply enter in your shipping address and all of our expedited shipping options will be provided.

All orders ship FOB from Victoria, BC Canada.

Once your order has been scheduled, you will receive an email from UPS to the email address used to place your order with your tracking information.

Please be sure to check your junk folder and spam filter - as these emails tend to get blocked by certain filters!

As we are located in Victoria, BC Canada, orders are required to successfully pass through customs as part of the delivery process. Depending on volume, weather, and time of year there may be delays. If you are concerned with the arrival date of your order, please consider upgrading your shipping to one of our expedited options!

Once you have checked your tracking number (see #5) for any possible delays or messages, we recommend that you make a claim with UPS directly. Please also let us know so that we can assist you!

As we are located in Victoria, BC Canada, any orders shipped within North America under $1000 will be covered under the North American Free Trade Agreement, and will not be subject to additional duty fees or taxes. Orders traveling outside of North America, or those over $1000 in value, may be subject to duties or taxes. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Refused/Returned Shipment Policy:

If you refuse delivery of your order or refuse to pick up your order, you will be held liable and charged for return shipping, duties and taxes (if incurred), and for all other associated fees. As all orders are custom made, your order will not be refunded.

Import duties and taxes are not included in our pricing or shipping fees. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility and must be paid at the time of delivery. Due to customs regulations and our own internal ethics policy, all packages will be marked with the value of goods purchased, and cannot be marked as “gifts”.

 


Payment, Cancellations & Returns

All of our prices are listed in USD.  

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal.

If you are looking to pay with a Debit Visa or Discover Card, please select the PayPal option during checkout.

No problem!

Simply select the "Don't Have a PayPal Account" option when prompted to enter your login information and you will be able to enter your payment information using the credit card of your choice.

If you wish to cancel your order, we ask that you email our team directly at info@artisaire.com as soon as possible.

As all products are made to order, we are unable to cancel an order if it has already been placed into production. Our team will provide you with the status of your order upon receiving your request via email.  

As all of our products are made to order, we do not accept returns.
